Pretty good food and beer selection. Real nice people.
The chicken is supposed to be the hero here, but it's very bland and flavorless. Other menu options are fantastic. It's a very tiny place with tons of seating, so you will be back to back with others.. Making your way to the bathroom in the back, can be a challenge becauae you need to disrupt everyone to move their chairs or stand and move chair so you can squeeze by. One very long bar top table goes from the front to the back filling the entire center of the restaurant. So its better to sit across from each other, rather than side by side, or you could end up with someone else sitting in front of you, face to face. They do have a full bar and fast servers. Very cozy place, not for thise that hate crowed placed or are claustrophobic.
Broasted chicken is fabulous; big pieces cooked perfectly. The hours of operation are now limited to Thursday through Sunday for the winter. Try the Black Bear Gear Head beer, you will not be disappointed.
Friendly staff. Meal was delicious!
Spent three days here and ate at Flatlanders three times! Really fresh salads and delicious clam chowder.
Great food and service, very friendly staff
Great meals. Always!
Flatlander sandwich was excellent. Huge piece of fish.
It's awesome, great food & atmosphere. Staff is wonderful. They also have T-shirts or long sleeve shirts for sale with cute sayings on them. We go every year when we stay in Greenville. I recommend to everyone!!
Deep. Fried. Cheesecake...
Great Chicken Alfredo
Great food. Fair prices. Friendly staff. Our new favorite in Greenville.
Best fried chicken and lobster rolls around! Friendly staff. Small restaurant that makes you feel like you're eating with family.
Says they have an out door eating area but only have 2 tiny table's out front
Awesome food, tourist rest area, great staff...must visit...
During our weeks stay, we ate there twice. Extensive menu, something for everyone.
My wife had the chicken and I had the ribs they were both excellent
What a great local eatery. I had the Ruben with beer battered fries. My wife had Chicken Parmesaen sandwich with hand cut fries. Both meals were delicious. Sat at the bar and had great conversation with the owner. Can't wait to go back and visit again. Thank you!
Love it..local place for us...delicious food especially the broasted chicken plus the owners are great friends....a must go to place.
Only give a three star rating because 1 out of three got a decent meal. Lobster roll bun not toasted, onion rings huge and greasy, waitress was sick and wiping her nose with her hands, forgot to bri g root beer and when she did it was warm. Eat here every two years always disappointed. Yuck
Everyone there is friendly and very helpful. The food is Great and the Kickn Chicken is awesome. Usually go there at least once when in town. Highly recommend it. It is small inside so expect it to be cozy during peak times.
Best chicken anywhere, the waitress with the glasses is gorgeous and so sweet.
Pizza was delicious! Maybe a bad day for the help. Nobody even smiled except for the young man at the counter. We had heard so much about this place and the friendly atmosphere so that was the only disappointment. Sorry about that, we are just trying to be honest. Hope your visit goes better. 😃😃
Good quality food. Never disappoints. Does get busy...but that's what you expect when it has good value for the dollar.
The Broasted Chicken is absolutely sublime. Worth a trek to Greenville on its own merits.
the service was great, and the food was amazing.
I really enjoy this place, a very homestyle atmosphere, great food and drink, try the boasted chicken, I do nearly every time I visit!
Good food, good prices and quite rustic.
Food was good. Except the salad could have used more lettuce and the chicken tenders were over cooked. French fries are good. The Broaster Chicken meal was enough for two people to eat. Wait staff was very nice but slow. Very local atmosphere.
Great food. Nice local place. Staff was friendly. Rueben sandwich was good.
Tasty chicken, great service, awesome lil joint!
My favorite place to go in Greenville, great food and great portions.
Only place to go in Greenville! Especially for the "broasted chicken"! I have never had a bad meal there wether it was at lunch or dinner. The owners and wait staff are the best!
Family tradition to go here each summer. Nice local joint with a sizeable menu for a small place. Definitely try the broasted chicken-you won't regret it. Get there by 4pm for dinner or else you might be waiting awhile.
Always great food and service!
Fairly priced. Tasty food. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a good menu with good selection.
Closed, doesn't open till May. Wished that reflected on Google. Will return again and hopefully do a full review.
went in for lunch late afternoon total of 5. order was taken and drinks were brought timely but when meals came waitress was confused left and came back asking what I ordered , she then explained she forgot to order the meal and it would be 15 minutes, I asked her to order and at least bring my salad she did this and then NEVER returned to our table to ask how the food was or if anyone needed refills after about a half hour when my party was finished, I asked to speak to the owner and advised of the situation and that my forgotten meal still had not made it out she then made excuses instead of apologizing for the lack of service...I will never return.
Food and service was fantastic. Atmosphere was fun.
Pros- The restaurant is small but has a warm and cozy feel- The staff were a 10/10, super sweet, very attentive, and the food came quickly and exactly as orderedCons- Seriously some of the worst french fries I've ever had....They were warm, but limp, zero seasoning or salt or pepper or anything, and incredibly bland. I think I've eaten raw potatoes tastier than these french fries- Prices are just a smidgen higher than surrounding restaurants. I haven't eaten other local places yet, so I don't know if this is worth the value. - Overall, the Flatlander burger was decent, if anything just a little bland thoughThe service, location, and vibe of the restaurant were sweet and welcoming. However, given the quality of the food, I'll be trying other establishments in the area before I circle back to Flatlanders.
This is a family style restaurant where you pretty much all sit at one long table and the food was delicious
I ordered the fish and chips and wasn't disappointed. The food was great and the portions were huge!
It's a pretty nice place. The first time I went I got a lobster roll and the 2nd time I got a grilled buffalo chicken sandwich with a Greek salad. Limited seating, so get there early for dinner.
Great food
Awesome food! I had the burger steak and my wife had the haddock sandwich. They had multiple beers on tap, a decent selection of wine and more beers in the bottle. Our server was very friendly, competent and quick! The food was cooked as requested and very tasty. Nice atmosphere and perfect for families, couples or small groups. I would definitely recommend you give them a try. Good value as well, not expensive at all.
So, so experience. French fries cooked in old oil. 2 pieces of breaded chicken on the salad were raw inside. Lobster roll and Cole slaw good.
We had a wonderful dinner tonight. Our party had lobsters rolls, their famous broasted chicken dinner, a delicious salmon dinner and shrimp scampi. I love that you can eat anywhere from a full dinner to a sandwich at night. Meets all budgets. Wish I had taken a picture of the HUGE chicken dinner and all.
Great food~~~great people!!
A greenville staple, best chicken. A must go to spot closes for winter to be sure to check when open
